A heavily weight and juicy grub larva/worm that imitates Water Snipe, Crane fly and a multitude of whatever. I especially love these in late summer when the local guide are casting #22 mayflies nymphs and I am still catching big fish on a big fly. I catch a lot of big fish with this fly. The lighter color, natural has the ability to double as a freshly molted stonefly so take a few of these out for a dunk in the early season.
The larger sizes #8 weigh almost two whole BB sized split shot. I use as an anchor in my multi fly rigging. Smaller sizes are lighter and better for shallower riffles.
